A.L.P.H.A: The Animal Organization

   Chapter 13: Terms

Adam was in his room, still recovering. He was able to move around, after a day. He walked around the room, wondering about Beck. He went to the door to find two A.L.P.H.A agents, standing guard. He figured that Peter wanted him to remain at headquarters so he couldn’t do anything rash. As time went by, Adam took out his wallet, which had a picture of him, Beck and his wife and looked at it.

Adam then heard his laptop make a sound and went to it. He saw that someone wanted to video chat and answered the call. Adam saw a light-gray wolf, sitting in a chair and holding a piece of paper. The paper read ‘Take the laptop into the bathroom and plug in a pair of headphones, or your son dies.’ Adam made a wide-eyed look to what he read.

Adam quietly picked-up his headphones with a microphone and his laptop, and quietly went to the bathroom. He locked the door and plugged in his headphones.

Adam: “How did you get my e-mail?” He asked the wolf in an angry tone. The wolf then introduced himself as Cinder.

Cinder: “A pleasure to make your acquaintance Adam.” He said in a serious tone, while making a wicked smile. “Now you have something I want.” He said.

Adam: “If you mean the laptop that contains the blueprints to enact your plans, there’s no way in hell that I’m giving them to you.” He said in an angry tone, but quietly.

Cinder: “Oh, I believe you will, since you won’t have much of a choice.” He said, after making a small laugh.

Adam: “What makes you think that I would betray A.L.P.H.A and give you the plans?” He asked.

Cinder kept a wicked smile as he moved his camera. Adam widened his eyes in shock, as he saw his son Beck was restrained to a chair and had duct-tape wrapped around his mouth. Beck was still wearing the suit that the T.R.I.G.G.E.R agents dressed him in, when he was brought to the island.

Beck: “Mmmmmmmmm! Mmmmmmmmm!! MMMMMMMMMMM!” He let out as he looked at the camera. “MMMMMMMMM!!” He let out as he tried to struggle.

Adam: “Beck!” He quietly said, then Cinder turned the camera back to him. “Let him go, he has nothing to do with this.” He said to Cinder, with worry.

Cinder: “Actually, he does. His blood is required to open the computer, same as yours.” He said as Adam made an angry look. “I’ll send you the coordinates. You will come to the location, with the laptop, or you will never see your precious son again.” He said in a wicked tone.

Adam made a worried look, then clinched his eyes shut.

Adam: “Fine, send me the location, but I want your word that Beck will be safe.” He said.

Beck: “Mmmmmmmm! Mmmmmmm!!” He let out as he heard them, while turning his head.

Cinder: “Bring me the laptop, provide a blood sample, and you and your son will walk away from all of this. Oh, and come alone!” He said, then ended the chat.

Adam then received an e-mail, showing him where to go. Adam knew he needed to get passed the guards and retrieve the laptop from security. Adam waited until it was late for the guards to fall asleep. He got dressed in jeans, a t-shirt and a hooded jacket. He looked to see the guards were sound asleep and quietly snuck passed them.

Adam went to the security room, where A.L.P.H.A kept all the important documents. Adam saw two A.L.P.H.A agents standing guard outside the door. He looked to see a fire alarm next to the wall. Adam knew if there was a fire, the alarm would be pulled and the extinguishers would turn on, releasing a cold mist. Adam pulled the alarm and heard a siren, then the extinguishers kicked in.

The two guards then left the hallway, knowing to evacuate when the alarms went off. Adam went to the door, put in the access code and went into the room. Adam opened the safe that was in the room with his fingerprint and passcode and took out the laptop. He then went to the garage and hijacked a car.

Adam: “I’m sorry Lucas!” He said to himself, knowing he had just broken every rule in the book.

Adam road out of the agency and went to save his son.
